SCITECH / Musculoskeletal Disorder

As with carpal tunnel, epicondylitis, and rotator cuff, make a Microsoft Word document that portrays bursitis. Link to where you got your picture and to the three sources for your three paragraphs, which should cover definition of the medical condition, effects or symptoms, and possible treatment.

This is a one-day activity.

Grading Window Opens Today

In the first half of class, make slide four in your Jeopardy PPt and add SAT voc 16-20 to your list. Sample Jeopardy: Category = NFL Teams / Statement = They have the same mascot as BHS. / Question = Who are the Philadelphia Eagles?

In the second half of class, type the game summary for Eagle Rock.

Open two folders that contain your sports logos: Macintosh HD and your server.

2. Put the grading data for October 18 into an Excel format that follows the pattern of the September 18 grades.

3. Start collecting the team logos for all the franchises within a given sport. Put them into a folder and convert them in PS.

Do the next two PhotoShop pictures (9 & 10). Add them to your DW page along with pictures 1-8.

Show me your "Good Guys" rtf file, doc-to-doc link from the original article to your reflection, and lastly, a web page where your drop shadow and picture are centered.

Next Character Counts in Text Edit and Word

In TextEdit, type the next Character Counts ("Good Guys and Bad Guys"). Use a left tab for your name at 4.5 and a center tab at 2 and 5/8ths for the title.

Copy and paste into Word. Add some clip art. Save two ways, once as a regular Word doc and once as an htm web page.

Link your Word document to a Word reflection on the content of the original "Good-Guys-and-Bad-Guys" editorial.

Epicondylitis

To be graded Friday: Epicondylitis in Word, the Kardashian sisters in DW, and your Preview edit in DW whereby you eliminated IE and established FF as primary and Safari as secondary.

Still Grading

Get your work graded: 8 pictures in DW, Carpal Tunnel in Word, and DW hot links to your career locker suggested pathways.

Next SciTech / Health document = Epicondilytis (Tennis Elbow). Make a pictoral Word document link to three aspects of Epicondilytis.

Dreamweaver links to your career locker results

Put my web directions for logging into Career Locker and the Career Locker side-by-side in Safari or Firefox. Take a snap shot. Put the shot into your last-name folder and convert it to PS. While in PS, add three pictures with text over each following my web sample. Save both as a Photoshop PSD file and a jpeg. Open Dreamweaver and insert the latter image into a double table with black and grey borders, respectively. Make hot links to the Career Locker snap shots you took on Sept. 30, when Mr. Villagran was guiding you through the Career Locker website.

Career Lockers must be finished before graduation.

You must finish your Career Locker in order to be eligible for graduation.

Make sure your Safari and Firefox bookmarks were graded. Same is true for your character counts two-way links from your bullet data to your reflective paragraph.

Dog Abuse

In Microsoft Word, compose a list of criteria that points to dog abuse. My list contained fourteen different criterion.

Find Obama's comments on 9/11 and listen to them using the headphones.

Show me that you set the preferences for both web browsers to http://epic.bell.hs.

Grading Scale

Duplicate your course file (Apple-D) and call the new file "grading scale" without the quotes. On the new file, insert a table and type the course grading scale following my sample.

Table Styles

Make some table adjustments to your class schedule similar to the picture above with regard to inserting and merging cell columns, establishing text wrap, horizontal and vertical alignment, cell shading, and text color. Make the editing changes only to the row representing Intro. to Computers.

PowerPoint Entrance Effects

After selecting your text field in PowerPoint, go to "Slide Show" in the menubar and drop down to "custom effects" to add an entrance style to your presentation slides.

Don't mistake a burrito for a wrap.
